Vincent & Vedant have released two albums since their coming together in 2010.
Following the successful reception of Vincent & Vedant’s debut EP in 2011, the Santa Barbara, California Gypsy Duo spent the year performing over 150 events, public & private, as well as festivals and clubs. Highlights included opening for International Touring act Willie & Lobo, opening The Mammoth Margarita Festival, as well as many local events.
When Vincent & Vedant decided it was time to start recording their second album in 2012,they composed the songs they’d written over the year, perfecting the compositions during performance. These songs culminated in “We Sing ~ We Dance,” an original collection of explorations blending Flamenco Rumba, Classical Violin, Jazz, Middle Eastern..even hints of Pop oriented structures and melodies.
Musically, Vincent & Vendant both polished their approach performing weekly at Santa Barbara’s finest Bistros.
Proudly stating ”a two man group that sounds like four”, the energetic duo’s full sound is executed with Vincent Zorn’s percussive guitar style, and Vedant Koppera’s lyrical, and rhythmic violin.
With the release of “We Sing ~ We Dance” reception was unanimous – 5 star reviews – www.vincentandvedant.com/press.
Recorded live with no overdubs or tracking, “We Sing ~ We Dance” perfectly captures the essence of the duo’s full live sound.
“..The ten songs on the new album represent a brilliant cross-section of musical talents on guitar and violin. The evocative melodies, earthy violin, and gypsy-style compositions are some of the best songs in this genre.” – Matthew Forss
“..Vincent & Vedant are both extremely talented instrumentalist, a fact that will only escape you on We Sing – We Dance if you fail to listen to it. ” – Wildy Haskell
